Recently OpenWeb Technologies was contacted by a manufacturer of UAV Aircraft.  They needed a solution that would keep extensive records of the assembly of their UAVs  Their requirement was to connect the log to their inventory system, be able to record serial and lot numbers for the individual components, record customer information on the log, and create a serial number that would tie the UAV to the log, so all the information can be pulled up during service calls.  Other requirements included, search capability, wireless barcode integration, and the ability to add notes to the log that were pertinent to the specific build.  OpenWeb Technologies's solution was to design a web based Manufacutering Log system based on PHP and MySQL.  We tied this system into their osCommerce Ecommerce catalog and inventory management system.   The log information can be easily accessed by service technicians in the field, via the web.  Search functionalities allow the user to search through thousands of logs in seconds. The software we provided them made them more efficient and reduced the RMA cycle of their warranty repairs.
